DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This vibrant town serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s famous national parks. After check-in, you will receive a briefing about your upcoming safari adventure. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, explore the town, or prepare for the journey ahead. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a comfortable lodge or hotel in Arusha.
DAY 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes approximately 2–3 hours. Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During the game drive, you will have the opportunity to see lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and various bird species. The Tarangire River, a vital water source in the park, attracts a variety of animals, making it an excellent spot for wildlife viewing. You will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the evening, you will head to a safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 3: TARANGIRE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. The drive offers breathtaking views of the highlands, Maasai villages, and endless plains. As you enter the Serengeti, you will begin to see vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles grazing across the savannah. The afternoon game drive will take you to the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera region, which is home to a high concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. After an exciting day of wildlife exploration, you will settle into your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 4: FULL-DAY GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, allowing you to explore its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move in search of fresh grazing land. The park is also home to elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge or tented camp for a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.
DAY 5: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
After an early morning game drive in Serengeti, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to over 25,000 animals, including the rare black rhino, large prides of lions, hyenas, and hippos. You will enjoy a thrilling game drive in the crater, stopping for a picnic lunch near a scenic hippo pool. In the late afternoon, you will ascend to the crater rim and check in to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay with breathtaking views of the crater.
DAY 6: NGORONGORO TO ARUSHA & DEPARTURE
After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha, with an optional visit to a Maasai village along the way. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will enjoy lunch and have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Depending on your departure schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home or onward travel. This marks the end of your unforgettable 6-day Tanzania safari adventure.
